Which Lip Enhancement Is Right for You?
If you’ve been feeling a desire to enhance your lips, you’ve likely come across a bunch of terms that all sound pretty similar.
Lip flip, lip lift, lip filler: are these all different ways of referring to the same thing? Nope! While they do have their similarities, each of these are a unique procedure. While having so many options can feel overwhelming, it also means you can get the exact treatment you need.
The Lip Flip
The non-surgical lip flip uses a neuromodulator, typically BOTOX Cosmetic, to relax the muscles near the cupid’s bow, allowing the lip to appear lifted. This can be combined with fillers to make the change more dramatic, but a lip flip without filler works too. More of the lip shows, creating a poutier look.
The Lip Lift
A lip lift is a surgical procedure. With this, the tissue beneath the nose tip is removed, shortening the distance between the nose and upper lip. As a result, more of the upper lip shows in general, and the upper lip continues to look fuller while smiling.
Lip Filler
Lip filler is strictly about volume. Hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers are injected into the lips to give them a fuller look. Unlike the flip and lift, this can be done on both the upper and lower lip. You can choose how much of a change you want to make, and since the results are temporary, there is room to experiment.
Which procedure is right for you depends on your goals. It could even be that a combination of treatments is best. To learn more, schedule your consultation by calling us at 575-521-7111 or reaching out via the contact page.
