What Should You Wear to a Mommy Makeover Consultation?

Having a baby can change your body and often make you feel less like your old self. A mommy makeover lets you create a customized set of procedures to address your body concerns. Once you decide a mommy makeover might be right for you, the consultation is where you and Dr. Martin will decide on the procedures and discuss your goals.
Along with bringing any current medications, wearing and bringing the right clothing to your plastic surgery consultation can help Dr. Martin determine what procedures are best for you.
Loose and Comfortable Clothes
While you may be tempted to dress up for your mommy makeover consultation, this isn’t the time for dressing up. More than likely you are going to be removing clothing for the doctor to exam your body and determine the procedures that will help you reach your goal.
In addition, avoid clothing with complicated closures or multiple closures. The easier it is to remove your clothing, the quicker and easier it will be for you to change. Wearing comfortable, easy to remove clothing will help make this an easier experience for you.
Dress for Cooler Temperatures
Doctor’s offices tend to be a little on the cool side. Given you may be spending some time in a medical gown or robe, it is a good idea to wear or bring some thick socks to keep your feet warm, as well as a sweater or jacket to wear over your gown while you are waiting for your mommy makeover consultation.
Bring Some Different Outfits
While dressing comfortable is recommended, you should also bring some of your favorite clothing items, like swimsuits or that top you really want to look good in again. This is especially true if you are considering breast augmentation.
When considering breast implants, you will likely be given sizers to see what size breast implants meet your goal. Having your favorite tops or dresses to try on over these sizers will give you a better idea of what your final results will show.
How you dress for your mommy makeover consultation isn’t about looking good for your plastic surgeon, but rather dressing to make sure it is easier for you and Dr. Martin to determine which procedures will help you reach your goal.
