3 Signs You Could See Great Results from Liposuction

Many people wonder if liposuction could be right for them. Although every individual is different, there are three specific signs that could indicate you’re the perfect candidate for liposuction .
1. You’re Almost at Your Best
Because liposuction is meant for difficult or “trouble” areas, a person at or near his or her ideal weight is the best candidate for liposuction. Liposuction is a way to contour the body while you’re at a weight that can be maintained over a long period of time. Most surgeons recommend being within 10 pounds of your target weight before considering liposuction. As an added bonus, the closer you are to your ideal weight, the better your results are likely to be.
Liposuction is best for people who are at their target weight, have little sagging skin, but still have fat pockets despite a healthy diet and exercise.
2. You’ve Just Got a Few Specific Problem Spots
If you’re happy with your general physique but plagued by one or two problem spots, that’s another good indicator you’ll be happy with your lipo results. Lipo is ideal for contouring areas that are notoriously resistant to diet and exercise, like the love handles, muffin top or a double chin.
3. You Have Realistic Expectations about Your Results
Although liposuction can improve your appearance and even improve other cosmetic surgery procedures, lipo does have its limitations. It can’t help with sagging skin, for example, and liposuction is not a magical procedure that will eliminate your struggle with your weight or give you the perfect body. As long as you think of liposuction as a tool to achieve very subtle changes, however, you’re a lot more likely to feel great about your results.
