Many women who are thinking about getting plastic surgery after pregnancy might have a difficult time deciding which procedure would best suit their needs. In this case, a mommy makeover, which combines multiple plastic surgeries into one, can be beneficial. These three plastic surgeries are some of the most common to be included in a mommy makeover.
1. Tummy Tuck
The tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is included in almost all mommy makeovers because this procedure can address the appearance of loose or sagging skin and muscle tissue in the abdominal area. Your plastic surgeon may recommend a drain-free tummy tuck, which can have many advantages over traditional abdominoplasty, including a simpler recovery.
2. Liposuction
Liposuction is very commonly combined with a tummy tuck, especially in a mommy makeover. If isolated pockets of stubborn fat that don’t seem to respond to diet and exercise are a cosmetic concern for you, your plastic surgeon might recommend adding liposuction to your tummy tuck or mommy makeover.
In addition, liposuction can be performed on areas of your body other than your waist, such as your thighs or upper arms.
Liposuction isn’t meant to stand in for diet and exercise after pregnancy, and it’s still best to try to reach your target weight prior to your proceudre.
3. Breast Surgery
There are lots of reasons why women want to include breast surgery in their mommy makeover. Depending on your specific needs and goals, you might want to discuss adding a breast reduction , breast lift, implants or a combination with your plastic surgeon.
