Breast Lift El Paso

and Las Cruces

Weight loss, pregnancy and aging are all causes of sagging breasts, also known as ptosis. Dr. Scot A. Martin can bring the breasts back to a more natural position with a breast lift. El Paso women typically qualify for the lollipop incision which is also Dr. Martin’s preferred technique. This procedure is also called a mastopexy.

The ‘lollipop’ incision utilizes minimal incisions and provides excellent results. Dr. Martin makes an incision around the areola with a vertical position from the areola to the breast crease. The flaps are pulled back and excess skin is removed and pulled tight so that the nipple is repositioned higher.

Common Questions about breast lift El Paso

  • How much is the procedure?
The total cost is $5,800. This includes all surgical fees, operating room and anesthesia fees as well as pre-op, post-op and follow-up visits. The only additional out of pocket costs would be: prescriptions, which cost approximately $100 (if you don’t have insurance) and a sports bra.
  • What type of anesthesia is used?
    General anesthesia is administered.
  • How long does the procedure take?
Surgery time is approximately an hour and a half. You will arrive 1 hour prior to surgery, and you will be in the recovery room after the surgery. Expect to be there for approximately 3 ½ hours.
  • What type of sutures will be used?
We use a dissolvable suture. You will also have steri-strips along the incision which can be removed in 7 days.
  • When can I resume normal activities?
The recovery is approximately 3-4 days before you can go back to work. After the first week, light activity is fine and encouraged. In about two weeks you can go back to your normal activities including more strenuous work and exercise.
  • What if I want a different incision?
Dr. Martin does utilize other methods but only when the circumstances are right. The peri-areola is used only when there is a very mild droop. But, a majority of his breast lift El Paso patients can get great results from the limited incision lollipop technique.
  • Will I also need implants?
On occasion, when there is very little natural volume, an implant may be recommended to get the best results from the lift. Sometimes, a lift isn’t even necessary after the implant is placed.
  • When will final results be apparent?
After several weeks, all of the swelling should be gone and the incisions should be healing nicely.
